EOSPHOROS and HESPEROS are the Greek Gods of the planet Venus. Originally, they were different manifestations of Venus, Eosphoros (Phosphorus)"dawn bringer," was the god of the dawn-star, while the second, Hesperos "Evening," was the star of dusk. The two star-gods were later combined and in Roman times called Lucifer (and Hecate-Artemis associated as Lucifera).
